klagerThe Manchester Community School District announced last week that planning for the 2017-2018 kindergarten program is now underway. Families of children who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2017, are encouraged to attend a registration celebration on Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 4pm – 7pm. This meeting is for families who live in the Manchester Community School District, or families living in Washtenaw County or counties that border Washtenaw County who would like their children to attend the Manchester Schools as a school of choice. This event will take place in the Klager Elementary School Cafeteria, 405 Ann Arbor Street.

At this family event, you will be able to register your upcoming kindergarten student. You should bring your child’s birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency. Principal Karin Villarreal and teachers will be available to introduce parents and guardians to the kindergarten curriculum and discuss the “typical” kindergarten day. Special literature on school readiness will also be available. Additionally, building tours, bus rides, kindergarten classrooms, food service, Klager Kids Klub and Klager PTO will be available to explore/answer questions.

For your convenience, registration packets are available for pick up before the event, beginning March 15, at the Klager School Office during normal school hours, 7:45am – 3:45pm For additional information, contact Klager School at 734-428-8321.
