SASHA Farm Animal Sanctuary, located right here in Manchester, is the Midwest’s largest farmed animal sanctuary. It will be hosting its annual Spring Social and Open House on Sunday, May 21st, from 12-4 pm. The sanctuary is located at 17901 Mahrle Rd. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at www.sashafarm.org or at the event.

At the event, visitors will be able to meet the cows, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, turkeys and other animals at the sanctuary, hear their stories, and learn about animal rights and veganism. Vegan food trucks, Shimmy Shack and Hut-K Nutrilicious, will be selling vegan eats and visitors will also be able to buy vegan baked goods.

Questions can be directed to Bob Harvie at bob@sashafarm.org. Visit them on Facebook for more information.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
