Class of 2017 celebrates post-graduation decisions
On April 28th, seniors of Manchester High School took time out of their school day to pose for a photo showing off their “Decided” T-shirts, celebrating the decisions the students have made about what to pursue next – whether it is college, the military, a full-time job or something else! Hollie Kolcz, Manchester High School guidance counselor stated, “It is this school’s goal to help 100% of their graduates determine a plan after high school, whether it be community college, university, trade school, the military, an apprenticeship, or the world of work. Every senior will graduate with a plan.”
The “Decided!” T-shirts worn by the students were donated by a generous family of the Class of 2017.
A few days later, seniors attending college next year participated in National College Decision Day, wearing paraphernalia of the school they will be attending. College Decision day is held annually around the nation on May 1 and is designed to coincide with the date that most seniors must inform a college of their plans to enroll.
