Free fishing weekend

This coming weekend, June 10 & 11, Michigan residents can try out fishing, for free! For two days, license fees will be waived for everyone both on inland waters, like the River Raisin, as well as on the Great Lakes. Don’t have a rod? The Manchester District Library has rods and a tackle box you can check out to fish with! Where can you fish? You don’t have to go any farther than around back. One popular fishing location in Manchester is the cement deck overhanging the river, behind the library.

Remember, all fishing regulations still apply on Free Fishing weekend.
