Enjoy unique music this Thursday at the gazebo!
The Corn Potato String duo will be our featured guests on the Gazebo stage this week. This is another of this summer’s “don’t miss” concerts!
Bringing “the eyes and ears” of traditional American String music to communities across the US, Canada, India, Europe, and Mexico, Aaron Jonah Lewis and Lindsay McCaw are dedicated to bkeeping old-time fiddle and banjo music “out of the dustbins of history.”
Remarkable for their driving fiddle tunes and harmonius singing, the duo, who frequently perform with a third member, Ben Belcher, McCaw and Lewis will bring multi-instrumental talents and especially amazing fiddling skills to this week’s gazebo concert. Both have won numerous awards and in addition to their musical performances, have been part of a widely varied range of other ventures.
The group’s newest album, “Rubber Dolly,” will be available for purchase at the concert, as well as on CD Baby.
Gazebo concerts have been a staple of Manchester’s summer entertainment for 29 years and counting! Bring your family and friends; bring a picnic or a take-out chicken broil dinner; bring a blanket or a chair, and be prepared to hear some of the best music in town on Thursday night at Wurster Park. Concerts are free of charge, but freewill donations are always welcomed and gratefully accepted.
Mark your calendars for 7:30 pm on Thursday, July 20. We will see you there!
