Bridgewater Bank, the host of Bridgewater Days.

An old/new tradition in beautiful downtown Bridgewater returns this Saturday, July 29, for the sixth annual (recent) Bridgewater Days.

The event was brought back to the tiny community five years ago after a long hiatus by Bridgewater Bank owners Christina Spensley and Sarah McClintock, and will celebrate the many things this community has to offer.

“We shut down Boettner Road, and throw a beer tent (opening at 6 pm) and stage into the street!” explains Christina Spensley. “We are hosting Risky Brenda, a rock band from Manchester at 7 pm, as well as the Paul Erdmand Band, a house favorite, at 9 pm.”

She explains that although the Erdmand band is actually from Indiana, the group’s previous keyboard player lives in Bridgewater and wanted to have the band come play at the bar.

“You can say that their covers of popular country, rock, and old school favorites blew us away,” she adds. “It was love at first song.”

The event gets bigger every year, which has necessitated obtaining more sponsors to bring all these special activities to Bridgewater. Spensley wishes to thank all of the local businesses–No Bull Towing, KBK Landscaping, Alber Painting, Kevin’s Landscaping, MI Customscapes LLC, Rustic Glen Golf Club, Community Excavating Saline, and Bridgewater Depot for their generous sponsorships this year.

“This is going to be the best Bridgewater Days yet!” she says.

Risky Brenda has captured the Manchester audience and will head to Bridgewater on Saturay.
