Freedom Childcare Center, located at 8753 Pleasant Lake Road, is a program of St. Thomas Lutheran Church also  in Freedom Township. The center is celebrating its 5th anniversary with a special outdoor worship service on August 20th, at 10 am on the grounds of the childcare center. The service will be led by Pastor Charles Schulz, former pastor of St. Thomas and Pastor Carl DeMeritt, vacancy pastor of St. Thomas.

The public is invited to come share in this celebration. There will be a picnic style lunch afterwards with games and activities for families. Jamie Healy, director of Freedom Childcare Center, stated “Come and meet our staff and get more information about the programs at Freedom Childcare Center.”
