This past Wednesday the local Knight of Columbus – Fr. Edwin A. Fisher Council 4354 held a benefit dinner at the St. Mary Parish Center to raise money to help with the disaster relief effort from the recent hurricanes in the south. With the generous support of Manchester and surrounding communities, they served over 190 dinners and raised $2,819 at the door. Since the event they received an additional $80 bringing the total up to $2,899. The cost of the food was paid for by the council so all of the money raised will go to hurricane victims.

All of the money raised at the benefit dinner and any future donations that come in will be sent to the Supreme Council of the Knights of Columbus in New Haven, CT, which is collecting money for this cause from councils and members all over the United States. They have received over $3 million so far.

The Fr. Edwin A. Fisher Council 4354 would again like to thank the community for their generous support and donations.
