Zion Lutheran Church to hold Sauerkraut Supper

Zion Lutheran Church, located at the corner of South Fletcher and Waters Roads in Freedom Township, is holding its annual Sauerkraut Supper on Saturday, October 14th from 4:30 to 7:30 pm.

The menu includes: roast pork, sausage, kniffles, sauerkraut, green beans, applesauce, pickled beets, rolls, homemade pies and beverages. The church community will be partnering with the Washtenaw County Recycling and Solid Waste Team to pilot a zero-waste event, and plans to use all compostable paper products. A volunteer team will work  together to intentionally minimize waste going to traditional disposal sites. Proceeds from this event will be go  towards the church’s capital improvement campaign and Puerto Rico Hurricane aid. Tickets are available by calling 734-320-5004 or emailing nhorn719@yahoo.com.

Adults $11, Children 5-10 years $5. Children under 5 are FREE.
