Comerica Bank donates $4,000 to Manchester Chicken Broil
The Manchester Chicken Broil has always proved that a little help can go a long way. And over the last four years, that help has gone even further to benefit the community, thanks to the generosity of Comerica Bank.
“Comerica has donated a total of $4,000 to the Manchester Community Chicken Broil over the past four years,” said Michael Tindall, co-chair of the Chicken Broil. “They have donated $1,000 each year for the past four years. This money has been much appreciated, and has helped support community projects to which the Chicken Broil Committee has donated.”
Along with donating money to our community event, Tindall added, each year Comerica Bank branch managers from the surrounding areas, and as far away as Fenton, Michigan, come to Manchester the day of the broil. These men and women donate their time and talents to help make the Manchester Community Chicken Broil a success.
The Chicken Broil Committee would like to encourage other local businesses to feel free to donate to the broil, which is a 501(c)(7) non-profit organization. All donations made by corporations are tax deductible.
“As our community already knows, we have no paid staff, so every dollar raised by this event is donated back to our community for approved projects,” Tindall said.
The proceeds from this year’s Chicken Broil went to help build the new ticket booths at the entrance to the athletic complex, and to support the Sesquicentennial Celebration.
