Fabulous Fridays start at Klager!

Walkers braved the ice, snow, and chilly temperatures to celebrate the first Friday walk of the season.

The intrepid walk to school crews, headed up by Klager teacher Kathy O’Mara, have started a third day per week of walking to school. Now known as “Fabulous Fridays,” the crew meets at Chi-Bro Park only at 7:45 am for an invigorating walk up the hill to Klager. A small but sturdy group also celebrated receiving a new wagon that can help walkers who need to carry heavy instruments, backpacks, or other items to school. The 5 Healthy Towns Foundation provided funding for the wagon, as well as other incentives that will help encourage walking as a contribution to a healthy lifestyle!

Walk with the gang on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday every week! Mooo-ving Monday and Walk to School Wednesday meeting spots are 7:30 am at the old middle school and Wurster Park, with a 7:45 meet up with more walkers at Chi-Bro.
