Kindergarten information night
The Manchester Community School District is pleased to announce that planning for the 2018-19 Kindergarten program is now under way. Families of children who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2018, are encouraged to attend a special information night on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. This meeting is for families who live in the Manchester Community School District, or any families living in Washtenaw County or counties that border Washtenaw County who would like their children to attend the Manchester Schools as a school of choice. This event will take place in the Klager Elementary School Media Center, 405 Ann Arbor Street, Manchester, MI 48158.
At this meeting, Principal Jennifer Mayes will introduce parents and guardians to the Kindergarten curriculum, give a small presentation on the “typical” Kindergarten day, and discuss the registration process. Special literature on school readiness will also be available. The meeting is for informational purposes on the registration process only. A Kindergarten “Registration Celebration” (aka “Round-Up”) with classroom tours and a meet and greet will take place on Monday, April 16 from 4 – 7 pm.
Families who are unable to attend this session may pick up a readiness book and additional information after February 12 at the Klager School Office during normal school hours, 7:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. For additional information, contact Klager School at 734-428-8321.
