Dear Editor,

I would like to express my disappointment and anger at the Manchester school boards latest action in closing the Ackerson building and decision to sell alumni field. To implement both of these actions with no recent resident input is terribly disappointing. These actions will gut an entire section of the town and it appears that that wasn’t even a thought of the board. I would also like to know if there was any recent real estate appraisal of either property or any analysis at all done as to the likelihood  of a successful selling of these properties. If none of that was done in the last year then I believe the board failed in it’s fiduciary duty to the citizens. If there are studies or opinions that the board was aware of then why aren’t the citizens informed? I can’t in good faith believe the board acted in good faith toward the citizens of Manchester.
