The Manchester Ladies Society will be holding its fifth annual “Free Prom Dress Boutique” on March 16th from 2:45 to 5 pm in the Manchester High School Library. (The Boutique will be open the next day, Saturday March 17th by appointment for girls unable to attend on Friday.) Once again, girls will be able to come browse, try-on, and leave with a dress for free. All girls going to prom, whether they attend MHS or not, are welcome to come search for a dress. As in previous years, all of the dresses in the shop will be dresses that have been donated, and the Ladies Society is sending out a call for dresses to restock for this year’s shop.

Do you have a bridesmaid dress hanging in the back of your closet? Are you storing your daughter’s prom dresses even though she wears a different size now and lives two states away? This is a reason to pull those dresses out of your closet!

If you have a clean formal dress you would like to donate, bring it to the front desk of the Manchester District Library during regular operating hours. The library accepts dress donations year-round but in order to be used in this year’s prom dress boutique, donations need to be brought to the library by Tuesday, March 13th. In addition to dresses, the Ladies Society accepts dress shoes, wraps and jewelry. All donations are tax deductible and donors will receive a receipt they can save for tax purposes.
