Manchester’s Pistol Prodigies to host first ever Scholastic Action Shooting Program National Banquet in Michigan
Manchester’s own Pistol Prodigies Youth Pistol and Rifle Team has the honor of hosting the first ever Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP) National Banquet in Michigan. The event will take place on Saturday April 21, 2018, at The Landing Banquet Hall in Tecumseh, MI. The banquet is open to the public with a limit of 200 tickets being sold. And they are going fast! All banquet attendees will be in the door prize drawings. The “Grand” door prize will be a gun! Runner-up “Grand” door prize will be $100 cash! The Poets elaborated, “There will be more gun giveaways, raffles, 50/50, live & silent auctions, and a whole lot of fun. The Pistol Prodigies began in 2014 and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. The Poets explained, “That year we started with nine student athletes, and have grown to 18 for this season. We compete within the Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP). Our competitions are Action (speed) shooting on steel targets. The team has competed at local, state, regional, and national matches over the last four years, most recently winning first place in Open Rimfire Pistol and Open Iron Sight Rifle Divisions at the 2017 Michigan State Championships, first place in Open Rimfire Pistol and second place in Open Iron Sight and second place in Open Optic Sight Rifle at the 2017 Ohio Fall Regional Match in Marengo, Ohio. 2018 is off to a great start with weekly practices being held, and match preparation going strong.”
