Manchester High School hosting State Band Festival

The Manchester 7th/8th grade Band and the Manchester High School Concert Band will be hosting and performing at the annual Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association (MSBOA) State Band and Orchestra Festival on Friday, April 27th at the Middle/High School located at 20500 Dutch Dr. The 7th/8th grade Band will be performing at 3pm and the High School Band will perform at 7:25pm. This event is open to the public and is free.

In addition to Manchester’s two bands, the festival will feature seven other bands from Tecumseh, Adrian, Michigan Center, Springport, Jonesville, New Boston and Brooklyn Columbia Central. Bands, including Manchester’s, qualified to perform at state festival by earning superior first division ratings at district festival.

Manchester is just one of several sites throughout the state that will be hosting MSBOA state festivals over two weekends. This is the second year in a row that Manchester has hosted the state level event.
