Do you have old appliances or other metal you want to get rid of? Help Sharon United Methodist Church’s outreach efforts to Haiti and elsewhere in the world by donating to their scrap metal drive on Saturday, May 5th and Saturday, May 12th from 8 am until noon. You can drop off at Sharon United Methodist Church located on the corner of M-52 and Pleasant Lake Rd. Need help getting something to the site or can’t make the date? There are limited dates for pick-ups available. Call the Church Office 734-428-0996 and leave a message for pick-up. The scrap drive can accept old washing machines, dryers, ovens, wrought ironwork metal fencing and posts, old metal light fixtures, metal car parts or pieces, old metal patio sets, metal roofing, broken farm equipment and other things made of metal. Unfortunately, they can’t accept dishwashers because they contain too much plastic.
