Vendor booths at 2016 Street Festival

The last 4 out of 5 summers the Village of Manchester has hosted a Street Festival the first Saturday of August. The Street Festival has at different points included an art fair, vendor booths, live music, yoga in the park, street food, kids activities, a bed race, and a rubber duck race. It has occurred in conjunction with Run Manchester and the Men’s Club car show, and last year with Sesquicentennial events. In previous years the Street Festival was organized by the Manchester Area Friends in Action but they stepped down, with members stating that last year’s Street Festival would be the last they organized. It appeared that the Street Festival would not be occurring this year.

Sunday, the organizers behind the most recent Christmas in the Village announced that they have stepped forward to organize the Street Festival and it is happening this year on Saturday, August 4th. They will be holding a planning meeting Tuesday, May 1st at 6:30 pm at 131 Adrian Street located on the corner of Adrian and Duncan Streets. They are looking for volunteers to take active roles helping to plan this event. Can’t make the meeting but want to be involved?
