Manchester Library hosts free gardening presentation
submitted by Tamara Denby, Manchester District Library
It’s that time of the year … time to get the garden planted. Does this thought make you break out in a cold sweat? I’ll admit, it does for me. But I have great news. On Saturday, May 12 at 10:30 am, resident gardening guru, Community Garden Committee Chair, and Manchester Five Healthy Towns representative, Ruth VanBogelen will be talking about gardening and answering your garden-related questions in the Village Room, (lower level) 912 City Road.
Need info on container or raised-bed gardens? Or advice on how to keep wildlife out of your veggies? Or (in my case) how to get fewer weeds and more veggies to grow? VanBogelen will have the answers for you. And, great news, there will be a drawing for a free 4 x 4 garden plot at the Manchester Community gardens.
