As the weather gets better, more kids are joining the Walk to School program each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Last week’s walks to school showed an increase in participation with nearly 50 walkers each day and lots of new kids joining the crew. And a growing number of kids are getting to the point of earning a t-shirt, along with other prizes, for their regular participation!

Teacher Kathy O’Mara is looking forward to next week’s national “Bike (and Walk) to School” day, on Wednesday, May 9. “It is never too late to come experience a wonderful morning walk with Klager students and community members,” she says. O’Mara would love to see this date be the biggest turnout of walkers and bikers so far this school year! So come and join in–you won’t be disappointed.
