WCSO: Red means stop!

The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office is committed to “Creating Public Safety.” The community can assist us in that endeavor by stopping for school buses who have their red (Stop) lights activated while picking up and dropping off children within our communities.

The Sheriff’s Office has received an increase in complaints of motorists disregarding school bus red lights while children are entering and exiting school buses. In order to continue our mission to create public safety, provide quality service and build strong communities, we urge all motorists to stop for school buses when the red lights are activated. “Red Means Stop.”
