American 1 Credit Union opening branch in Manchester
Last Wednesday, American 1 Credit Union announced that work will begin on its new property located at 10903 M-52 in Manchester, MI as early as this week. When complete, the new full service office will feature teller stations, member service and management offices, drive-thru lanes and two ATMs.
The building most recently housed a branch office of First Merit Bank, which was purchased by Huntington Bank two years ago. At that time, the decision was made to close the Manchester branch and the building was eventually sold.
“The build process is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 11,” explained Laura Pryor, American 1 Credit Union’s VP of Marketing & Communications. “Our contractor will be working with us to recycle as many materials as possible during construction. Any proceeds collected from the recycling will be donated to the Manchester Men’s Club, where we know it will be put to wonderful use in the community.”
Following the opening of American 1’s Adrian Branch in November of last year, the credit union is continuing its growth in southern Michigan communities. The Manchester Branch will be American 1’s 14th location. Established in 1950, American 1 Credit Union today serves over 57,500 members with branches in Jackson, Washtenaw, Hillsdale, Calhoun, Macomb, Lenawee and Wayne counties.
