Donald G. R. Beach (2/11/1931 – 5/28/2018)

Donald G. R. Beach passed away peacefully on Memorial Day, at the Tidewell Hospice House in Venice, Fl.  Born in Detroit, the only child of Helen and Gordon Beach. On August 4, 1951, he married the love of his life, Sally. They spent their time between Pleasant Lake in Manchester, and Englewood, FL, after Don’s retirement from TCF.

Our Dad always carried this poem in his wallet:

The clock of life is wound but once
And no man has the power
To tell just when the hands will stop
On what day – or what hour,
Now is the only time you have
So live it with a will
Don’t wait until tomorrow
The hands may then be still.

Donald is survived by his children Deborah (Larry) Fielder, Daniel (Charlene) Beach and Steven Beach, grandchildren Lindsey Fielder, Melissa (Hunter) Daniel, Gwen Beach, Nicole Beach and Robert (Aley) Beach.  Great-grandchildren Nevaeh and Nariah Morgan, Asher and Maxwell Beach and Tyler Daniel. He is proceeded in death by his wife Sally of 58 years and his parents.

There will be a graveside service at Roseland Memorial Gardens, Jackson, MI on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11 am. Donations in Donald Beach’s name may be made to The Salvation Army, 3660 Packard St, Ann Arbor, MI 48108 or Tidewell Hospice, 220 Wexford Blvd, Venice, FL 34293.
