NOTICE: The local clerks of each jurisdiction will be available to register qualified electors and amend registration records, by appointment, as follows:

YOU MUST AMEND YOUR REGISTRATION RECORD.

Qualified electors may also register to vote or change their address in the following manners:

In Person:

  • At your local City or Township Clerk’s office, or at the office of the County Clerk during normal business hours.
  • At any of the Secretary of State Branch offices located throughout the State during normal business hours.
  • At the specified agency for clients receiving services through the Department of Human Services, the Department of Community Health, Michigan Jobs Commission, and some offices of the Commission for the Blind.
  • At the military recruitment offices for persons enlisting in the armed forces.

By Mail: By obtaining and completing a Mail-in Voter Registration Application and forwarding to the Election Official as directed on the application by the close of registration deadline. Mail-in voter registration applications may be obtained by contacting said City, Township, or County Clerk or online at www.michigan.gov/vote

Note: If you register to vote by mail, you are required to vote in person at your assigned precinct the first time you vote, unless you are: disabled as defined by state law, 60 years of age or older, or temporarily residing overseas.

Only persons who have registered as electors with the City or Township Clerk in which jurisdiction they reside, or at the Secretary of State driver’s license bureau, are qualified registered electors.

The Primary Election is being held for the purpose of electing the following office candidates:

Governor, United States Senator, Representative in Congress 7th District, State Senator 22nd District, Representative in State Legislature 52nd District, County Commissioner 3rd District, Delegate to County Convention

ALSO to vote YES or NO on the following proposal:

MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP
RENEW AND INCREASE EXTRA- VOTED MILLAGE TO OFFSET HEADLEE ROLLBACKS

Shall the expired previous voted increase in the tax limitation imposed under Article IX, Sec. 6 of the Michigan Constitution in Manchester Township, of .65 mills ($.65 per $1,000.00 of taxable value), reduced to .6458 ($.64 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) by the required millage rollbacks, be renewed at and increased up to the original vote .65 mills ($.65 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) and levied for 5 years, 2018 through 2022 inclusive, for Fire Protection Services within Manchester Township, raising an estimated $126,098 in the first year the millage is levied of which a portion may be disbursed to such other or fewer local units of government as the Township Board determines appropriate.
