Sharon Valley Road to close for bridge replacement

Today, Monday, July 2, 2018, a contractor for the Washtenaw County Road Commission (WCRCC) will CLOSE Sharon Valley Road between Prospect Hill Road and Lamb Road in Sharon Township to replace the bridge over the River Raisin.

The road will be closed to all traffic during the bridge replacement project. The WCRC expects the work to be completed by October 2018; however, due to weather conditions and/or unexpected conditions encountered during construction, all dates are tentative and subject to change.

The posted DETOUR for this closure is Wolf Lake Road, Austin Road and Sharon Hollow Road. Local traffic to and from adjacent properties located within the closed section of Sharon Valley Road will be maintained, but no traffic will be able to cross the bridge itself.
