Algae and plant growth make it difficult to navigate canoes and kayaks to land at the park site.

Setup for the dredging of the Manchester Mill Pond is set to begin the week of July 16.

Fencing and markers are in place and this phase of the River Raisin Park development will make the area more accommodating to canoe and kayak landing, which is part of the future plans for this village park.

Further development planning for the park is on the agenda at tonight’s Village Council meeting, which begins at 7 pm in the Village Council chambers on the lower level of the Village building/library at 912 City Road.

Fencing has been set up for the dredging crane in the River Raisin Park

Posts marking the parameters of the dredging area can be seen in the river.
