Jack Edward Rowe (1931 – 2018)

Jack Edward Rowe, age 87, long-time Manchester resident, passed away July 24, 2018 at Brookdale Adrian, under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Lenawee.  He was born on the family farm July 12, 1931, in Delta, Ohio to David and Mary (Carter) Rowe. Jack married the love of his life, Marjorie Tower, on April 26, 1957; she preceded him in death on April 3, 2015.  Jack was a life-long member of the Manchester United Methodist Church.  During his working life, he worked for many years at Double A Products in Manchester, until leaving for Ford Motor Company in Saline, where he worked until his retirement.  He loved his family, reading, traveling and good beer, but he especially loved cars.  He lovingly restored a 1937 Buick, and drove it with a large smile on his face.  Jack was an especially kind, friendly man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jack is survived by his children Jeff (Cindy) Rowe, Terry (Charlene) Rowe, Jon Rowe, Sherri (Bill) Marshall, five grandchildren Nathan and Ryan Rowe, Sarah, Ben and Sam Marshall and a brother Richard “Dick” Lawson.  He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and sisters Joann Schiller and Mary Tippins.

A Community Farewell for Jack will be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 at the Manchester United Methodist Church beginning with visitation at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.; Pastor Dillon Burns will officiate, with a luncheon following at the church.

In his honor, memorial contributions may be shared with Hospice of Lenawee.  Please leave a message of comfort for Jack’s family at 1-877-231-7900, or sign his guestbook at www.borekjennings.com.
