Natalie Mae brings music rooted in the traditions of folk and old time music, blending intricate melodies “with lyrics that pull on the strings of the heart.”

This week the 2018 Gazebo Concert season draws to a close with the performance of Natalie Mae Palms!

After attending Loyola University of New Orleans and earning her degree in Music Industry Studies, Natalie, the daughter of Mark & Carol Palms of Raisin Pickers fame, decided to stay on in New Orleans and make her living by making music.

And over the past 10 years, she’s done just that. Releasing a number of CDs on her own label, playing at countless venues across the south and midwest, in both solo and group performances, and earning praise from fellow and veteran singer/songwriters.

Thursday night, she’s coming home to play where she grew up, in the shadow of the Manchester gazebo.

Come and enjoy one more summer night on the lawn at Wurster Park this summer! Bring a chair or a blanket, bring a picnic or just a snack, and spend 90 minutes with great music and good neighbors.

The Gazebo Concert Series, a Manchester summer staple since 1989, is celebrating its 30th season this year and is grateful for the ongoing support from its sponsors and friends. This year’s sponsors have included the Riverfolk Music & Arts Organization, Manchester Wellness Coalition (part of 5 Healthy Towns), Edward Jones: Jody Flowers, Financial Advisor, LaRock Dental, and the Klager PTO. We are also appreciative of the many, many friends who make donations both large and small during the intermission of each concert.

If you discover that you’ve come to the concerts empty-handed (or empty-pocketed, as it were), you may make a donation online at home, when you visit www.riverfolkarts.org, which will benefit next year’s concert series! Thank you for your support of the arts in Manchester!
