The 2,000 LB. Community Challenge (MMLB) has a special announcement to make … DRUM ROLL PLEASE …

The MMLB 2 (second year of the MMLB program) participants have lost 1,035 pounds since Sept 1, 2017.

Three groups contributed to this amazing weight loss challenge. Group 2, losing weight on their own, has lost 68 pounds. Group 3, participating in the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP), has lost 466.3 pounds. Group for has lost 501 pounds by participating in the TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) program.

The MMLB Challenge started September 1, 2016, and initially lasted for 19 weeks. With 113 participants, the group logged a total of 328.4 pounds lost in the 19-week period, and continued on to lose 412 pounds in a total of eight months. The goal of Manchester becoming one-ton lighter is definitely getting closer to a reality.
Steps and weight loss is being collected for the MMLB 2 program through August 31. If you started out with the program but haven’t logged your steps recently, there is still time! This year’s group is approaching its goal of 200 million steps in a year.
The MMLB program is part of the mission of Manchester Wellness Coalition, funded by the 5 Healthy Towns Foundation. Learn more at www.5healthytowns.org/
