Hay Rides will be part of entertainment for Third Thursdays

The shuttle that ran between the 3rd Thursday event and Chicken Broil will be returning in September and October to give hayrides around the village at future 3rd Thursday events.

This fall, a traditional autumn entertainment will be provided during the Third Thursday events set for September 20 and October 18.

Thanks to Jacques LaRocque, hayrides will be part of the festivities at the last two Third Thursdays of this calendar year, from 4-8 pm, or until dark (whichever comes first).

The wagon will pull off Main Street at Adrian Street to pick up and unload passengers. The rides will head eastward down Main to Riverside, then one block later proceed westward up Duncan Street. At Macomb, the wagon will head north back toward Main Street, and then return to its destination.

The hay wagon provided a shuttle between the Chicken Broil and the downtown during the July Third Thursday, and was a highly popular attraction; so organizers decided to bring it back for the fall months.

Hayrides also may be provided for Christmas In The Village activities if weather permits.
