Letter to the Editor: Manchester Schools experiencing uncharacteristic bumps
September 7, 2018
In the past year the Manchester schools have had some uncharacteristic bumps in the road. First the board announced abruptly, I will say more middle of the night, the closing of the building on Main Street and no interest in Alumni field. This was bad enough but recently we have no JV football team and no cheerleading squad at the football games. Also because of the suddenness of the building closure , the pre-school co-op now is shut for this year. I’m sure new parents are looking at this sort of dysfunction when deciding where to send their children to school. The expense of near one million dollars, that was borrowed, to upgrade the football/soccer field also looks dubious at best. Where is the school board in all of this? Strangely silent.
