An unexpected school bus rider…

Manchester Community School Students may have an unexpected rider on their bus route the first couple weeks of school, Superintendent Nick Steinmetz!

“I am riding the buses!” he stated. “I am doing this for a few reasons. First, what better way for me to learn the entire district than to see it from the buses. Second, I want to have an understanding of everyone’s position in the district. I feel that to be an effective leader of MCS, I need to be visible and know the nuances of each department. Riding the buses is just the beginning! You will see me in every department throughout the year. I don’t plan to ride the buses everyday, but I am making sure that I ride every route.”

Superintendent Steinmetz plans to ride bus routes on Tuesday and Thursday this week. After this week, he is looking to spend time with the school maintenance department and paraprofessionals.
