To: The qualified electors of BRIDGEWATER and MANCHESTER TOWNSHIPS

The LAST DAY TO REGISTER TO VOTE is:
MONDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2018
for the
PRIMARY ELECTION held on:
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2018

Notice: The local clerks of each jurisdiction will be available to register qualified electors and amend registration records, by appointment, as follows:

Bridgewater Township
Office hours: 3:30 P.M- 4:30 P.M, Tuesday-Friday 10990 Clinton Road, Manchester, MI 48158 (517) 315-7545

Manchester Township
Office hours: 8:30 A.M.-12:00 noon, Mon, Tues, Wed & Fri at 275 S. Macomb Street, Manchester, MI 48158 (734) 428-7090

IF YOU HAVE MOVED RECENTLY,
YOU MUST AMEND YOUR REGISTRATION RECORD.

Qualified electors may also register to vote or change their address in the following manners:

In Person:

  • At your local Township Clerk’s office or at the office of the County Clerk during normal business hours.
  • At any of the Secretary of State Branch offices located throughout the State during normal business hours.
  • At the specified agency for clients receiving services through the Department of Human Services, theDepartment of Community Health, Michigan Jobs Commission and some offices of the Commission for theBlind.
  • At the military recruitment offices for persons enlisting in the armed forces.

By Mail: By obtaining and completing a Mail-in Voter Registration Application and forwarding to the Election Official as directed on the application by the close of registration deadline. Mail-in voter registration applications may be obtained by contacting said Township Clerk or County Clerk or online atwww.michigan.gov/vote

Note: If you register to vote by mail, you are required to vote in person at your assigned precinct the first time you vote, unless you are: disabled as defined by state law, 60 years of age or older, or temporarily residing overseas.

Only persons who have registered as electors with the Township Clerk in which jurisdiction they reside, or atthe Secretary of State driver’s license bureau, are qualified registered electors.

The State General Election is being held for the purpose of electing the following office candidates:

Governor, Lt. Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, U.S. Senator, State of Michigan 52nd District State Representative, State Board of Education, UM Regent, MSU Regent, WSU Governor, County Commissioner, Justice of Supreme Court, 3rd District Judge of Court of Appeals (incumbent), 22nd Circuit Judge of Circuit Court (incumbent), Judge of Probate Court, (incumbent), 14A District Judge of District Court (incumbent), WCC Board of Trustees Member and as appropriate, Manchester School Board, Saline School Board, Ann Arbor School Board

ALSO to vote YES or NO on the following proposal:

State Proposal 18-1

A proposed initiated law to authorize and legalize possession, use and cultivation of marijuana products by individuals who are at least 21 years of age and older, and commercial sales of marijuana through state-licensed retailers

State Proposal 18-2

A proposed constitutional amendment to establish a commission of citizens with exclusive authority to adopt district boundaries for the Michigan Senate, Michigan House of Representatives and U.S. Congress, every 10 years

State Proposal 18-3

A proposal to authorize automatic and Election Day voter registration, no-reason absentee voting, and straight ticket voting; and add current legal requirements for military and overseas voting and post-election audits to the Michigan Constitution

County Proposal

Proposition to Renew the Tax Limitation for Parks and Recreation Purposes Including Acquisition, Development, Maintenance and Operation of Park Lands and Recreation Facilities for the Benefit of Washtenaw County Citizens
