To visit the Leonard Preserve, turn off of Main Street onto Union Street next to Emanuel Church and follow it along the river out of the Village to the parking lot and preserve entrance.

On Saturday, October 13th from 10 am to noon, the county will be holding a fall colors river hike in the Leonard Preserve. Park in parking lot located at 375 N Union St. just outside of Village limits. The River Raisin is stunning on its own, but added fall colors make it a spectacular display of nature. Leonard Preserve is a vast ecosystem, and participants will explore almost 2 miles of trails taking in the beauty of the fall flora and fauna.

This hike will be led by Washtenaw County park naturalist, Kelsey Dehring and there is no fee or pre-registration required to participate.
