Winter squash is a harvest season crop found at the Manchester Farmers Market and featured in many families holiday recipes.

The Manchester Farmers Market is putting out a call for your favorite fall recipes featuring harvest season fruits and vegetables available at the farmers market, and also for holiday recipes. Laura Wohlgemuth, farmers market manager, stated, “You all have enjoyed our recipes throughout the summer so much that I’ve been inspired to create a Fall Recipes packet as well as a Holiday Recipes packet. The Fall Recipes packet will focus on the abundance of vegetables and fruit during the fall season at the farmers market. The Holiday Recipes packet will have family favorite recipes made especially for the holidays.”

Please submit your favorite fall recipes by next Tuesday, October 2. Holiday recipes need to be submitted by Tuesday, October 16. Those whose recipes are chosen to be in the Recipe packets will receive a five dollar gift certificate to The Manchester Farmers Market!
