2018 Christmas in the Village will be themed Twas the Night Before Christmas
Christmas in the Village is returning to Manchester on Friday, November 30th with Santa’s Parade starting at 6:30pm. The bulk of the events will take place Saturday, December 1st from 9am until the evening. The theme of this year’s celebration is “Twas the Night Before Christmas” derived from the first line of the 1823 poem “A Visit from Saint Nicholas” often attributed to Clement Clarke Moore.
Organizers have begun planning this year’s events. Forms to participate in the parade and some of the contests can be picked up at the front counter of the Shoppes of Alber Mill located on the corner of Main Street and Adrian Street. Those who wish to participate will be able to sign up to compete in a float contest in the parade, a cookie contest to be judged by Santa, a tree decorating contest, and a residential outdoor decorating contest. Business owners will be able to enter a Business Decorating Contest.
