At last week’s Chamber of Commerce meeting, Sue LaRocque, proprietor of River Raisin Antiques, announced her intention to participate in the annual Small Business Saturday activities, which are traditionally held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

This year’s date is November 24, and hours in Manchester are 11 am – 6 pm.

“I’ve registered to be the Neighborhood Chairman for this movement,” LaRocque stated. “Last year, it was my biggest sales day of the year. I hope that we can make this a special day for Manchester, and thus have incredible sales again this year!”

Her suggestions for businesses who choose to participate include offering sales in your business, offering food (possibly even a Progressive Food Event at various businesses), giveaways, social media marketing, and more!

“Use all the marketing tools in your goodie bag!” she enthused. “Market this event to all of your friends and family for the good of everyone!”

If you are interested in participating with LaRocque in the excitement of Small Business Saturday–either with sales, food, or gift bags–let her know by contacting her at riverraisinantiques@gmail.com or 734.649.2993. She can also help you determine what direction might help your business the most!
