Obituary: Maureen Salazar

Maureen Therese Iott Salazar, age 70, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan surrounded by her family. She was born on May 8, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan to Herman and Maureen (Blaney) Iott. Maureen graduated from Adrian Catholic Central High School, June, 1966 and Eastern Michigan University, June 1981.

She is survived by Son, Robert (Kelly) Salazar of Saline, Michigan, and grandchildren, Ashley (Brian) Rosen of Three Rivers, MI, and Stephen Salazar of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, and three great grandchildren, Arianna, Tyler, and Shane Rosen. She is also survived by siblings, Sue Iott of Ann Arbor, Robert (Shellie) Iott, and Bill Iott of Adrian, Libby Zilke, Mickey Swinehart and Frankie (Brian) Rasnick of Manistee, Nona Iott of Manchester, Aimee Iott of Morenci, Martha (Steve) Piwarski of Iron River, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Madeline F. Weaver.

A celebration of Maureen’s life will be held on Monday, November 26 th , from 4-8 p.m. at the Nie Funeral Home at 3767 W. Liberty Rd., Ann Arbor. Condolences may be sent to the family at PO Box 274, Manchester, MI 48158.
