December events at the Manchester District Library: Artist Showcase, Hat/Mitten Drive , and more!

Manchester District Library is collecting hats, mittens & gloves for the Community Resource Center through December 15th.

The Manchester District Library will be holding their Annual Local Artist Showcase from December 1st – 30th featuring works by prominent local artists. Many will be available for purchase. Come to the library and find a special one-of-a-kind gift for a loved one or just to admire the pieces on display! In addition, the library will be displaying a collection of holiday quilts by members of the local quilting guild, Black Sheep Quilters.

Serving the community is the Manchester District Library’s number one priority. In this tradition of service, they’ve kicked off their hat/mitten drive to benefit the Manchester Community Resource Center. They’ll be collecting hats, mittens and gloves on a tree through December 15th. They are also seeking donations of personal care items such as lotions, dental care, lip balm, etc for distribution through the food pantry. The library staff would like to thank their patrons for their generous donations to this drive as well as the others they hold throughout the year.
