Nerf war, chili cook-off, Easter bunny and more – Manchester Sportsman’s Club calendar of events

The Manchester Sportsman’s Club is proud to announce the 2019 calendar of events for January thru April. All the events listed are open for the community to enjoy.

Need some trigger time, but it’s too cold outside? Join the Manchester Sportsman’s Club for an indoor pellet league on Tuesday January 22nd and February 12th at 6pm.
Saturday January 26th Sidearm Defense Training LLC will be teaching a NRA Range Safety Officer Class at 8am. The class will teach the techniques and safety that is required by the NRA for all Range Safety Officers. Contact www.sidearmdefense.com for details.
Sunday January 27th will be our first ever NERF WARS. The war is for kids 12 and under. A parent must be present. Each child must have their own Nerf Blaster. “Elite” dart ammo and a snack will be provided, with a participation charge of $20.00. This will be an AWESOME indoor event. So, if you and the kids need something to do during the winter, plan on attending the NERF WARS. See flyer here: Nerf war flyer
On Saturday February 23rd, warm up with the Club’s Chili Cook Off. To share your tasty chili please see our website for registration and rules. To enjoy delicious chili and have fun with friends, plan on 5 pm with a fee at the door. Bring your own beverages (alcohol allowed) and snacks. Soft drinks and dessert will be available for purchase.
Thursday February 28th, Sidearm Defense Training LLC is teaching a Refuse to be a Victim Class. This class highlights safety measures and gives great ideas to protect yourself against crimes.
March and Spring start the practices of the youth sporting teams at the club. The Manchester Young Guns are trap, skeet and sporting clays for young boys and girls. The Young Guns will start practicing on Monday March 11th at 4 pm. The Pistol Prodigies is a youth rifle and pistol team for children in third grade and up. The Prodigies shoot for speed on steel targets with rimfire pistols and rifles. Prodigies practices start at 6 pm on Wednesday March 6th. If you have a child interested in shooting, please come to a practice for more information.
Saturday March 2nd at noon will be the Club’s second Nerf War; bring the kids out for some indoor fun!
The Spring Trap League happens on Tuesdays beginning April 2nd at 5 pm. This league runs weekly through June. The fee to shoot is $5.00 per round of trap. This is a great way to hone your skills or start a new hobby.
Easter Saturday, April 20th, the Club will be holding the 7th Annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny. All you can eat pancakes, prepared by King’s Pancake Company of Belleville. Serving starts at 10 am and the Easter Bunny makes a special appearance for visits and pictures at 10:30 am. The club is always looking for new members. Annual membership dues are $50.00 plus 3 hours of service a year. Membership meetings are the first Tuesday of every month at 7 pm, unless otherwise noted.
