If you are ready to shed some pounds to get to and stay at a healthy weight, you are welcome to join the Manchester Chapter of TOPS – Take Off Pounds Sensibly. TOPS is a non-profit organization (70 years old) which helps local chapters operate a successful weight loss support group (www.tops.org). The Manchester TOPS Chapter started in September of 2017, has 43 members and we have tallied up a net of 600 pounds lost! Our meetings are Tuesdays at either 8:20 am or 6:30 pm – you can attend either meeting each week. Weigh ins start at 8 am for the 8:20 am meeting and 6 pm for the 6:30 pm meeting. Both meetings are in the Village Room (912 City Rd, Manchester) which is the big conference room in the lower level of the Village Hall and Library).

Registration is $32 a year, but we have grant funds from 5 Healthy Towns Foundation for 12 new registrations. Dues are $1 a week to cover miscellaneous expenses and monthly prizes to members. As a Chapter of TOPS, the Manchester TOPS group is a non-profit. TOPS encourages healthy eating and portion control. We provide lots of free educational material (including a copy of the Real Life book) and members support each other to take off pounds and keep them off. There is no sponsored foods, drinks, shakes, etc. to purchase – we want you to eat real, healthy foods.

For more information email us at mmlb48158@gmail.com or leave a message for Ruth at 734-428-7872. No pre-registration is necessary; just come to a meeting, check us out, and join if you are committed to losing some pounds and becoming healthier in 2019!!

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
