New exhibit at The Art Kettle

Many Manchester High School artists are featured at the current show, Emerging Artist | Artist Emerging, at The Art Kettle, 121 W. Main Street.

The Art Kettle, an extension of the Riverfolk Music & Arts Organization located at 121 West Main Street, is currently featuring a new show, which opened this past weekend.

“Emerging Artist | Artist Emerging” will be open from 1 to 4 pm on Saturdays and Sundays through February 17.

The show features artists who are new to publicly showing their artwork as well as more established artists sharing how their artwork has emerged over time. There is no cost to attend.

Artists featured include Aana Drake, Margaret Parker, Libbey Burch, Mya Enzer, Alyssa Lauer, Makayla Sayer, Jessica Lacy, Meghan Marotz, Castor Hayslip, Kara Kelley, Colin Hovater, Abby Korotney, Marie Singer, Veronica Raft, David Earle, Angelina Griffin, John Hiner, Quenton Bortmas, Madelyn Harris, Kayla Vogel, Madison Vogel, Megan Vogel. Many of the emerging artists are Manchester High School students, who were on hand at the opening reception to discuss their works with those in attendance.

The artist reception on Sunday, January 20 included special musical guests Warren & Flick and Mark Palms with Billy King.

Artists’ statements about their work were included with the Emerging Artist | Artist Emerging exhibition.

High school artist Aana Drake created this collection of “stuffies” as part of her art exhibit.
