Manchester Mirror to now include state news

The Manchester Mirror is pleased to announce that we’re adding a new “state news” section to the Mirror. We understand that in addition to local policies and issues, state-wide policies and issues also affect Manchester residents. Because of this, we believe that in pursuit of an educated and informed Manchester population, we should include articles on state-wide policies and issues while maintaining our commitment to hyper-local coverage of the Manchester area.

To this end we’ve purchased a syndication license to run articles from Bridge Magazine on statewide issues relevant to the Manchester area. Bridge magazine is a nonpartisan, nonprofit news source created and funded by the Center for Michigan. Bridge’s mission is to inform Michigan citizens through fact-based, nonpartisan journalism that identifies critical issues and helps citizens navigate the challenges of our civic life.

Expanding our coverage to include state news does not mean we’ll be covering local issues in other communities. It does not mean we will decrease the coverage of Manchester news. It just means we’ll be providing more news relevant to Manchester readers each week!
