The Manchester Sportsman Club will host a Chili Cook-off on Saturday, February 23, at the Sportsman Club headquarters, 8501 Grossman Road.

Doors open at 4:30 pm, with tasting beginning at 5 pm. There is a $10 per person cover charge, which includes tasting from all contestants. Soft drinks and dessert will be available to purchase, but spectators are also welcomed to bring their own alcoholic beverages and any snacks they wish.

Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third places on a “People’s Choice” basis. Tasters may vote for their favorite chili by using the voting boxes at each table.

A chili entrant team will consist of a maximum of three people. Entrants may start setting up as early as 10 am on Feb. 23, and must be ready to serve by 4 pm. Each team must prepare at least three gallons of chili, all of which must be cooked onsite. All meat and poultry must be obtained from USDA-approved sources. Themed decorations are also encouraged for all tables!

Registration forms and complete rules are listed at the Sportsman Club website. Registration deadline is February 14th. Space is limited, so make your reservation early.
