Obituary: James “Jimmy” P. Maisano
James “Jimmy” P. Maisano, 66 of Manchester, passed away on February 13, 2019 at Arbor Hospice of Saline. Jimmy was born November 9, 1952 to Anthony and Josephine (Catanese) Maisano. Jimmy grew up in Garden City, MI. He lived most of his life in Manchester MI. He spent several years as a custom painter for cars and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Later, he found his true passion as a carpenter, and with the help of several friends built a woodworking shop in his barn.
Jimmy enjoyed gardening, doing woodworking projects for fun, but most of all he loved to ride his Harley. He took many trips through different states, but the trip he talked about most was to Glacier National Park. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Manchester. Jimmy loved spending time with his family and friends.
Jimmy is survived by: his children; Anna Maisano, Jared Maisano, and Michael (Barbara) Maisano; two brothers and two sisters, Anthony (Chris) Maisano, Joanne (Glenn) Ratkewicz, Joseph (Eileen) Maisano and Gina (Douglas) Deghetto; four grandchildren, Casey Hamlett, Bria McKenzie, Andrew McKenzie and Jayden Maisano. He was preceded in death by his parents
Jimmy’s Family and Friends will gather from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Borek Jennings Funeral Home: Manchester Chapel (207 East Duncan Street, Manchester, MI 48158). His Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church (210 West Main Street, Manchester, MI 48158), with a gathering to begin at 10 am at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Arbor Hospice 440 W. Russell St. #100 Saline, MI 48176.
