Smiling faces are a hallmark of the Crazy Ca$h Night, hosted in its 20th year by the Manchester Community Schools.

The 20th annual Manchester Crazy Ca$h is in the books! On Saturday (March 2, 2019), the Borek-Jennings funeral home was packed full with nearly 400 people all clamoring at the chance to win multiple prizes and cash while supporting a good cause! 2019 marks the first year that the Manchester Community Schools (MCS) took over the event in an effort to reduce the amount of fund-raisers that are done on a yearly basis by our multiple clubs, teams, and groups. MCS will set up a special fund where the various student groups can make a proposal to the Board of Education to receive additional financial support.

The Grand prize for Crazy Ca$h is $5,000 (last number drawn); the Second Place prize is $1,000. When there are only five numbers left to be drawn, the remaining participants are presented with the option of Deal or No Deal. This gives them the opportunity to split the $6,000 total prize money equally. This year, a deal was made when two numbers remained. Mr. Ronald Kuhl and Dr. Julie Marvin-Manders split the prizes equally and walked away with $3,000 each!

The number of individuals, and organizations, that worked to make this event a success is staggering! It is a tremendous representation of how supportive Manchester is as a community. Next week, I will be submitting a follow-up thank you article and total funds we were able to generate during the Crazy Ca$h event. Go Dutch!
