Manchester High School

Eighth-grade students attended a play production of “The Diary of Anne Frank” on February 25. They arrived that Monday morning like I had never seen before–impressively poised. The bus ride provided an opportunity for carefree interaction with classmates. It was wonderful to witness them stress free and excited.

Upon arrival at the Jewish Ensemble Theatre in West Bloomfield, the doors were locked! We learned that the production had been relocated to the Detroit Institute of Art, two months prior. Simultaneously, students re-boarded, contact was established, and drivers rerouted. There were a lot of questions but never a grunt or a grumble.

I can proudly say that the Class of 2023 were a fine representation of the Manchester community and our school district. A special thank you goes out to both Mr. Jeff Waters and Mr. Jim Sewell for the safe transportation; you saved the day!
