On Tuesday, March 12 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., SRSLY Manchester and St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea will host a Vaping 101 community health talk inside Manchester Junior/Senior High School. Parents, students, teachers, and community members are invited to learn what vaping is, its growing use among youth, and the potential health risks it could pose for young people. All ages are welcome.

According to the 2018 Michigan Profile for Healthy Youth (MiPHY) Survey, 66% of Manchester high school students did not use a vape in the past 30 days, and 96% of middle school students in Manchester did not use a vape in the past 30 days. When looking at data in Washtenaw County, 82% of students did not use a vape in the past 30 days.

All attendees will receive a free SRSLY? Check Your Stats reusable tote.

For as little as $1 a month, you can keep Manchester-focused news coverage alive.
