WCRC road work is heating up (again)
Spring is here and load weight restrictions have been lifted! Contractors are beginning work this week on the Sharon Valley Road bridge project in Sharon Township.
They are planning to be on site this week to prepare for the concrete bridge deck to be poured. At this point, it is not yet known when exactly the concrete deck will be placed. WCRC will be monitoring upcoming weather conditions and determining a short window in which to do the concrete placement, according to a press release issued on Monday, April 22. If you need more information regarding the Sharon Valley Road bridge project, you may contact Aaron Berkholz, berkholza@wcroads.org, 734-327-6648.
Other local road work this week includes Ernst Road in Freedom Township, between Bethel Church and Reno roads, for drainage improvements. This work will cause intermittent lane closures in that area. Work is expected to be done between 4/22 and 4/24.
Also in Sharon Township, Struthers Road between Jacob and Grass Lake roads, will see intermittent lane closures due to forestry work. This work also expected to be completed by April 24.
WCRC’s office will be closed on Thursday, April 25 and Friday, April 26. For more information on the two projects listed above, contact Ken Harris, project manager, at harrisk@wcroads.org or call 734-327-6696.
