April showers bring May flowers

Klager walkers show off their paper flowers given by the Manchester Ladies Society on Wednesday, May 1.

Skies were cloudy and damp on May Day, but there were smiles on the faces of kids and adults alike who participated in Walk to School Wednesday, when they were presented with paper flowers provided by members of the Manchester Ladies Society, who joined in the Walk to School fun!

This week, walkers and bike riders alike will participate in National Bike-to-school Day on Wednesday. Bring your bike or bring your walking shoes, and enjoy a bit of morning exercise as you participate in this great program!

There are less than 20 walking days left in the school year! We have one Riverside walker, Abi, who has done ALL 80 school walking days so far … and a few others who are not too far behind her. It has been a great year for the program, and we look forward to a great wrap-up on June 14.
